Patriots sometimes sacrifice their lives for the betterment of their respective countries. This spirit of sacrifice has made patriotism a noble virtue. Usefulness
patriotism is undoubtedly useful in the interest of the nation and the nation. The country rests firmly on the sacrifice of patriots. Patriots give their money, time, energy and life for the betterment of the country. A patriot thinks about his country. He wants his country to be great and prosperous. He wants his country to be ideal in every field. Therefore, patriotism is highly useful. Because it forces people to think about their country.
The Dark Side of Patriotism
the extreme form of patriotism is not desirable. Because blind patriots don’t care about humanism. They forget that they are members of a larger society called human society. He forgets the interest of man as a whole. When he thinks about the interest of his country, he forgets justice. He believes in the principle of ‘my country, right or wrong’. He does many wrong things in the interest of his country. It’s really not good. We should think in terms of one world and one human society. We should think of a world government.
