Time and Place

This day should be followed by a moonlit night so that the picnickers do not worry even if it is late in the evening, moreover, it will give extra pleasure and there will be no difficulty in the return-trip.
The picnickers should find a suitable place in the nearest forest. They should see that there is no shortage of water for drinking, cooking, and washing at that place.
A Picnic I Attended
We students of class IX of Jhunjhunwala Vidyapeeth, Barang were in a very good mood after the last terminal exam. So, we proposed to go for a picnic on Christmas day which was to fall on 25th December.
The rate of membership was fixed at 250 rupees per person. Together we all immediately agreed to this proposal. But we wanted to organize a picnic in the botanical garden which is a mile away.
We both went in search of a suitable place. He fixed the spot which was a port very close to the water stream. We also decided what our menu should be. The menu showed a list of rice, dal, fried potatoes, cauliflower curry, salad, and tomato condiments.
We deliberately avoided meat and fish as they were not readily available. We extend our cordial invitation to our respected sir. On a sunny Christmas day, we started off for a chance in the woods with lots of picnic articles.
We took the cooking supplies. We took the cooking utensils. We picked up the carpet to sit on. We carried a set of transistors, four carrom boards, two chess-boards and four packs of cards.
We had a cook and a servant to help us with the cooking and serving. As soon as we reached that place after leaving for work. Within half an hour the stove was ready.
Cooking started in full swing. Half the vegetables were clothed, carpets were laid. But this time- our respected sir reached there and sat on the carpets.
Voluntarily our Sanskrit Pandits. Came to the stove and supervised the cooking. There was also a cook and a servant. So we had enough time to play chess and carrom. Some of us played on cards.
Some listened to the radio. Our teachers also used to play cards amongst themselves. Our headmaster was busy reading magazines. After cooking, we all sat down to eat. We were all happy with our food.
The dishes were delicious. Our teachers took leave earlier and went back home. then we counted
of articles. We took the article back with us. It was evening then. The moon was shining from the east. The weather was pleasant. We all came back home talking, laughing, and singing.
