Water is known to everyone in this world. It is a vital necessity for plants and animals and also for people. It is essential for any living being. No one can survive without water. So we say ‘Water is life.

We get two types of water, sweet and salty. The water of the seas, oceans, and most of the lakes is saline. But water is basically sweet. It becomes saline when it comes in contact with mineral salts while flowing and passing through the land.
Water is obtained from two sources namely rain and snow. During the rainy season a lot of waterfalls from the clouds. During the summer, the snow on the mountain melts and flows down.

Lakes, seas, and oceans are natural reservoirs of water. Rivers and rivers are natural carriers of water. People usually get water from ponds, wells, rivers, and canals.
Use of Water
Water is used for many purposes like drinking, cooking, washing clothes, steaming, and running machines. We use water in farming and gardening.
Water is the carrier of epidemics and epidemics. So we should either drink boiled water or filtered water. If possible, distilled water can be taken.
